With the Properties pane visible in the Info Panel, multi-select some files in the List (either by Ctrl+clicking or by Ctrl+a), then while holding Ctrl click on one of the items to remove it from the multi-selection. The Properties Panel goes blank, even though several items are still selected. Then add a file to the multi-selection. The Properties panel becomes populated again.
I was wanting to change attributes on multiple files, but every time I'd remove a file from the selection, the Properties panel would go blank.

Yes, that's the way it is, and that's the only way it can be.

Re: Deselecting item in List causes Properties Panel to go blank
It's very intuitive the way it is, especially now that I know that's the ONLY way such a thing can ever be.
It's very satisfying how helpful your replies are. My time spent reporting issues I encounter when trying to do normal file management things is time well spent.
It's rare to find software where the users are treated so well, and so respected, and I'm sure the financial rewards are well worth it to the developer!
Thank You! From the bottom of my heart!
