Must indeed be some special circumstances. Just tried that on local drives (in detail view; just a few basic properties visible) and it does not happen at my place (also version .104).

hi! i rolled back to 26.20.0100 and have tested deleting ~10 or so files and have not received the error (which i was getting previously on every delete).

when i would get the error, XY would continue working and the file(s) were actually deleted. this is from a (daily) fresh boot-up and no other system changes that i am aware of (no windows updates recently, no other apps updated via winget, etc.).

hi! dang. thanks for trying to reproduce. i went ahead and updated to 26.20.0104 again and was immediately greeted with the error message on deletes - either right-click/delete and/or pressing the DEL key.

i was trying to recreate my steps that i did this morning, possibly something different than usual. the only difference is that i have a search results tab open. i have it set to open the results in a new tab at the end of the tab list. this morning i just had some simple results, e.g. *.mp3 (on entire C drive) and a *.mkv (on entire D drive). i was also not deleting the files from the results tab, but from the originating folder.

not sure if that helps out or not.

I got the same error when selecting all files and folders from the list, then hitting shift+delete. The files/folders were deleted after OK'ing the error box. I went back to 0103.

Same here. I saw it now when deleting the whole list. Fix was easy. Upload in a minute.

hi! using 26.20.0108 and this error is back. i did a search for *.m4a and deleted all the results from the Search Results tab. the error listed above is popped immediately (the files are deleted and i can continue working).

the initial search is started from a folder that contains 6 subfolders (no files in the root). each subfolder contains m4a, mp3 and jpgs - only the m4a's were searched for and deleted.
