:info: Please include the following information:
1) Your XYplorer Version (e.g., v28.00.0801)
2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).

:info: We strongly recommend adding your Windows Version and Screen Scaling Percentage to the Location field in your Profile or to your Signature. That way, you only have to type them once, and we won't have to search for that vital information.

KB rounded-up size wrong sometimes

Post by Telarius »

Comparing file sizes between windows explorer and xyplorer I noticed that on some file xy shows the size as 1 KB more.

For example a file with 4365572893 bytes.
Divided by 1024 results in 4263254,7783203125 which - rounded - is 4263255 KB.
That's what windows explorer also displays.
xy on the other-hand shows 4263256 KB, 1 KB too much.

I can't see how it would get to this number.

Gosh, you're right! Statistically half of the files >= 2GB are displayed with 1 KB too much on the hips in the "KB (rounded up)" format.

Thanks, fix is on the way.
