in a CEA startup script to get my desired startup look. Seems kind of unnecessary to have to do that. Thanks.[Resolved] Have Rapid Access expanded on startup

Don, today you made Rapid Access in the tree by default. Good move, but why not have the Rapid Access node expanded by default as well. Yes, I know I can put %rapidaccess% in the Configuration Permanent startup path. I like seeing the items listed under Rapid Access in the tree, but I'd would rather have XYplorer start in "C:\" and see those folders in the list. I don't need to see the Rapid Folders in the list just in the tree. Right now, I have to have "C:\" listed in Configuration Permanent Startup Path and then put

Re: Have Rapid Access expanded on startup
Node expansion is remembered anyway for the whole tree. Where is the problem?

Re: Have Rapid Access expanded on startup
Well if it did, I wouldn't be asking or wishing. If I have "C:\" as my "Permanent startup path" in Configuration and no CEA scripts for startup as I have now, the Rapid Access node saved in the expanded state is not remembered between sessions.

Maxi or Mini Tree?
In case of Maxi, what about Configuration | General | Tree and List | Tree | Remember state of tree?

Re: Have Rapid Access expanded on startup
I'm on Maxi tree most of the time. I did not have "Remember state of tree" checked. I never saw a need for it previously; now I do. Thanks Don.

I'll never understand those Maxi Tree users...

Re: [Resolved] Have Rapid Access expanded on startup
Old habits are hard to break.
In further thinking on it, I'm not sure why you wouldn't want Rapid Access expanded by default though even when "Remember state of tree" is unchecked (at least as an option)? I never cared about remembering the tree state until now. It seems unnecessary to do that just for Rapid Access. "Links" is always expanded regardless of that setting.

Re: [Resolved] Have Rapid Access expanded on startup
Since v16.40.0004 - 2016-03-13 21:17, "Links" has its own private expansion memory. Weirdly I have no notes here about why I did that. It's an exception from the rule that should be well justified.
