9 (0x00000009) error apparently to do with Rapid Access folder

Post by Bee »

I'm getting this error message

Error: 9 (0x00000009)
Desc: Subscript out of range
Dll: 0
Proc: BrowseTo@120, Path=Dieser PC, idxNode=0, cntItems=2

Source: XYplorer
XY ver: XYplorer 25.90.0140 -
OS: Windows 11, 64-bit, Version 23H2, Build 22631.3527 (10.0)
Locale: 1031 (de-DE)
ANSI: 1252, ACP: 1252 (ANSI - Lateinisch I)
Font: REM 10, REM 9, DBCS: No
DPI: 144 (150%), 3840x2160

Date: 2024-05-09 23:24:56

when re-starting XYplorer after unchecking the Rapid Access folder box in the settings and then closing XYplorer. When I check the box again so that Rapid Access folder is shown in the tree, the error message no longer appears after closing and then restarting XYplorer.

Thanks, but when I try to download the most recent BETA installer package, I get a FILE NOT FOUND (404). The upgrade via check for updates doesn't work either.

Not completely, because now "This PC" folder opens randomly when Rapid Access is disabled.

Not randomly. "This PC" is the default folder. The focus must go somewhere when it was on Rapid Access before.

But the focus wasn't on Rapid Access. I tested it with Fresh instance and focus was on Downloads folder, but after disabling Rapid Access, active tab changed from Downloads to This PC.

EDIT: Maybe XY thinks all special (short path) folders are Rapid Access.

You're right, this needs a fix.
