background color mystery
background color mystery
Hello, I’ve changed all my background colors but, for some reason, some folders and one category catalog keep a white background. I don’t understand why.

Re: background color mystery
Hard to tell from a blurry distance. Try right-clicking on those catalog categories and checking the color settings.

Re: background color mystery
I solved the problem for the Catalog category yesterday. You are right, it was related to customization of the category. But I have no clue about this white background for the E: hard drive. I will make a little video to show the problem.

Good background color for G: drive. Bad background color for E: drive

Re: background color mystery
You can see that Diamond button gets pressed when you list E:\. So it's a Folder View Setting.

Re: background color mystery
If I press Diamond icon so View setting is deactivated, nothing changed. I’ve read the documentation about Folder View Setting and cannot find any information about background color.

Hmm, yes you're right.
What about this:

Re: background color mystery
You found it ! Probably something I checked without understanding the consequences. I must admit, after some years of XYPlorer’s usage, I just begin to use Minitree - and Papers ! (so I had not this problem because I did not use Minitree before).
I would like to say I am quite astonished by recent new features you added. Multilines Toolbar and the ability to keep custom order of files are insanely convenient. Thanks a lot for your work.

Re: background color mystery - still somewhat mysterious
I had a similar issue, as the following before, and it was concluded that it might be to do with my hi res screen I think.
Anyway, until recently the contents (and only the contents) in the Tree of USB drives was shown in a light brown. Now the said contents are shown grayed out. Still readable, but grayed out. I am pretty sure I have not changed any settings lately. So .... ?

Re: background color mystery
By gosh - yes. "Apply filters to tree was ticked". But I don't ever recall ticking it and I certainly never did anything very recently to change it (ie., so that the light brown background under loaded USB drives went away.
IF I DID want to have any/all USB drives shown in a different colour in the Tree when I loaded them, could I do that - and how?

Re: background color mystery
I still have the problem (grayed out USB drive contents in the Tree) after .... 132.
I tried ticking and un-ticking "Apply color filters to the tree" to no effect.
This is definitely something I can live with but interesting/puzzling nonetheless.

Re: background color mystery
Interesting discovery with my issue here: If I go View-Mini Tree and then View-Mini Tree again (ie, mini tree is OFF), the contents of my USB drives are back to normal (ie., not grayed out) and appear the same as the contents of my C: drive.
