Alt+drag on Executable not produce a Link

Alt+drag on Executable not produce a Link

I tried Alt+drag on an executable to desktop, this didn't produce a Link to the executable instead made a copy of it which isn't the expected Explorer behavior for this.

Yes, creating a LNK this way from XY to another app is not supported. But you can perfectly use the Desktop folder within XY.

got ya. I wonder if there's anyway this could be added since it seems very logical to just drag it and drop it off on desktop. Although not something I need to perform too often.

I'm afraid not. When you use the right mouse button you'll see the "Create Shortcut" is also missing from the drop context menu. Never found a way to fix that.
