This seems to somewhat match the concept of "Drop Stacks" as we've discussed before here on various occasions, such as http://www.xyplorer.com/xyfc/viewtopic.php?t=831 and other similar ones...This is still on the 'RoadMap' as shown in http://www.xyplorer.com/xyfc/viewtopic.php?t=830.
Still spending WAY TOO much time here! But it's such a pleasure helping XY be a treasure!

after checking out these threads, it looks like this is exactly what I am looking for. Would be very useful if implemented! even better is if there can be _multiple_ active lists that you can add files to by short-cuts. Say:

alt-shift-1 = add to list 1
alt-shift-2 = add to list 2 etc.

then shift-f7 for moving etc, and the lists are in a selection box you can choose from. This I can see will be very useful indeed. Like multiple buckets of file lists you can create for particular same file operations.

We can go one step further and have a selection list (Drop Stack) manager that allows simple set operations like union/intersection of sets defined etc. i.e. create new sets from previously defined file set. One can of course name/delete sets etc.

This can be very powerful idea like a Catalog except it's for temporary usage.

 :D

Yes, this is on my list under name "drop stack". In the not so far future I will adding caching to the tabs, and this will be a good time to also add drop stacks (which are kind of cache-only virtual folders)... :)

Quick question on a How-to

Post by wc96 »

I noticed that when I defined NO favorite folder in Tree view (Ctrl-B), when I right click in empty space of Tree panel there was a nice menu that give me access to Starup menu, my documents etc. But after I defined a fav location it instead shows only my fav locations but not these predefined locations which I find useful.

So my question is: any other way I can get at these common locations in XY or any configuration option allows me to get them added to the fav menu on the right click?
