:info: Please include the following information:
1) Your XYplorer Version (e.g., v28.00.0801)
2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).

:info: We strongly recommend adding your Windows Version and Screen Scaling Percentage to the Location field in your Profile or to your Signature. That way, you only have to type them once, and we won't have to search for that vital information.

Issue with confirmation dialogue placement on dual monitors

Post by bletch »

Observed behaviour
On dual monitor setup, the confirmation dialogue seems to appear on monitor 1 even if XYplorer is running on monitor 2.

Expected behaviour
The behaviour I would expect is for the confirmation dialogue to centre over the window on monitor 2 - where XYplorer is actually running.

Environment
Windows 11 with dual monitors

Steps to reproduce
Start XYplorer, then doc to edge of second monitor. Copy a file that already exists to get the overwrite warning dialogue (CTRL+F6 in my case). The dialogue appears on the opposite screen to XYplorer.

Evidence
See attachment screen shots of before and after.

I'm really enjoying the product and it really helps my workflow. The reported behaviour is obviously not critical but more of an annoyance.

This overwrite prompt is owned by Windows. I can't control its position.

You might want to try XYplorer's own and superior copy machine, Custom Copy: Configuration | File Operations | File Operations | Custom Copy Operations | Use Custom Copy. This should position the overwrite prompt correctly.

Yeah, that did the trick. Thanks for the explanation and keep up the good work!
