XYplorer Beta Version Updater

Post by wraithdu »

I recently started using XYplorer, and love it, especially the portability. I like to keep up on the beta versions since there's new features released all the time, so I wrote a little updater script to do the job. Figured I'd share in case anyone else was interested :)

You'll need 7-Zip and wget, links are in the Readme.txt. Source is included. Enjoy!

Hi,
Seems like you are enjoying XY like the rest of us, Welcome to the club. And thanks for taking time to post the beta updater.
Another beta updater script is here.

Welcome from me also! I'd suggest posting the script here via "code" tags so that people can see it first, and then they can D/L it if they wish.
Still spending WAY TOO much time here! But it's such a pleasure helping XY be a treasure!
(XP on laptop with touchpad and thus NO mouse!) Using latest beta vers when possible.

Hi from me, too.

Looks very nice! Not having wget I could not test it though. Has somebody tried it?

I can do that, but the source is included in the archive (guess I should have mentioned that). Thanks for the welcome!

Oh, and there's a link for where to download 7-Zip and wget in the Readme.txt, for those that don't have them.
