Problem with running shortcuts

Latest version of XY (.0122) has problems with running shortcuts to programs. They just do not run.

My 0122 runs programs from their shortcuts just fine so maybe you should be a bit more specific?

Yes. I have in mind shortcuts to programs with their customized file associations in Menu Tools. Few days ago it worked OK, now it doesn't.

This is my line from Custom Files Associations Editor. It should run any and all shortcuts with extension .bms. Until recently, this worked without a flaw for years. Now they suddenly do not run. Nothing happens, just XY button on the taskbar flashes once...

Now I realized that it doesn't work even when I disable this customized association. But when running a .bms file directly, then it works OK. Just when running a shortcut to it is when it fails. I guess the problem is not with XY. But where is it then? I'm on Win11 Ent x64 22H2. Any idea anybody?

So it probably is connected with XY. When I run these shortcuts in Explorer, they work OK...
Adding later: restarting PC didn't help.

Let me guess, the shortcut points to some path in %ProgramFiles%?
Change it to %ProgramW6432%

No, it points to C:\Z\Programs\Backup Magic
This has worked for years, I did not change anything recently.
It all worked perfectly some 2-3 days ago...

Then downgrade to the older versions from the last few dates and find the last working one: viewtopic.php?t=4&start=6105

I guess I'll use my Macrium Reflect system drive backups to create virtual C drives of a few days back. But I'm travelling now, so I'll come back to this later.

OK, I managed to determine which version started to cause problems:

v .0110 still worked OK
starting with v .0111 the problem started. Something must have been done in v .0111 that causes problem with running some file shortcuts from XY.

I hope this helps to determine the problem.

This is not a shortcut. I'm confused. What do you mean when you say shortcut?

So the same shortcuts work in v24.90.0110 - 2023-09-06 19:15 but now no longer? With the same configuration? I checked the code and cannot see any changes related to this during the last week. I've been working on the glider 100%.
