Directory Area Background Color

Post by XY fan »

If I start XY with a USB drive in the machine, the background Directory Area Color (pale brown) does not appear. Remove the USB, restart XY and the color is back.

Me or a bug?

USB drives have no own color. Are you maybe talking about portable devices?

Sorry - not clear enough on my part. I meant the color of the directories under C:\ .... eg., C:\xxxxx, C:\yyyyy - which is light brown.

This is weird! These folders should never be brown. Tell me more about this USB drive.

Pretty standard USB driveS. I have tried a few with the same brown result.

I thought this was the colors from "Show Section Colors" in Tools|Customize Tree - which I have had ticked all along ???

What I thought odd was that the light brown was there without a USB drive but not there with a USB drive

That brown color is (by default) meant for portable devices. Why is it applied to the folders under C:??? :eh: Do you also get this with a fresh instance?

Yes - with a fresh instance PROVIDED there is no USB in the machine. If there is a USB in, then no brown color.

Can you show me a screenshot of the complete tree when the brown color is present?

Everything under the Computer node is brown??? :? And why does the Computer node have a normal folder icon??? Something is very wrong here.

This is a fresh instance?

Custom File Icons are enabled in that screenshot, but they are not in a fresh instance. :? So, are you really sure this is a fresh instance?
