:info: Please include the following information:
1) Your XYplorer Version (e.g., v28.00.0801)
2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).

:info: We strongly recommend adding your Windows Version and Screen Scaling Percentage to the Location field in your Profile or to your Signature. That way, you only have to type them once, and we won't have to search for that vital information.

UrlUnescape not working as expected with characters with tilde

Post by 1024mb »

This:

Code: Select all

Isla de La Abad%C3%ADa
is being renamed to

Code: Select all

Isla de La Abadía
and I have to do UTF-8 to Unicode to fix it, is this intended? Even if UrlUnescape output is UTF-8 the string should be

Code: Select all

Isla de La Abadía
EDIT: It seems it's using Windows-1252 for the output so I guess is using this

Code: Select all

Default ANSI Code Page: 1252 (ANSI - Latín I)
Active ANSI Code Page: 1252 (ANSI - Latín I)
if so I'm requesting for an option to make the renamings output Unicode. I'm thinking another check option like "Preview All".

This should work (and does here):

Code: Select all

text urldecode(<clipboard>, 2); //2 = as UTF8
PS: ah, you mean File | Rename Special | UrlUnescape (%20 > Space ...). Maybe I should change it to handle UTF8... :maf: ... YES!
