Tab bar icon size for internal icons

Post by jupe »

Recently I have noticed that the icon size in the tab bar can be undersized sometimes when internal icons are used, I am not sure what triggers it, I can't repro on demand in fresh. Once triggered it seems to last the rest of the session. It has only started since recent icon related changes. I run 120dpi. Here are examples of what full size icon looks like and the undersized one.

Are these normal paper folders, or are the icons manually assigned to the tab via rename?
How often is "sometimes"?

(I tried to see it for a longer time but it did not happen)

Yes normal paper folders, but all internal icons are affected (incl renamed tabs) for the rest of the session once the issue is triggered. Just for clarity though, in the blue gif above the normal size icon is a CFI, but that was just to illustrate the size difference, the still images are both of normal paperfolders. If you can't easily see a cause I will be more vigilant in my search to see what triggers it and get back to you.

OK, I have narrowed one of the triggers down, it happens when I put Windows to sleep with XY open and then upon waking the internal icons are smaller, I assume 120dpi is relevant. It only started happening about 4-5 weeks ago.

No I mean Sleep, Hibernate is slightly different but basically achieves the same thing.

My Win10 is in German and I have "Ruhezustand" and "Energie sparen", not sure which one corresponds to sleep. Anyway, I tried both and could not reproduce it. So I guess I will leave it at that for now.
