:info: Please include the following information:
1) Your XYplorer Version (e.g., v28.00.0801)
2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).

:info: We strongly recommend adding your Windows Version and Screen Scaling Percentage to the Location field in your Profile or to your Signature. That way, you only have to type them once, and we won't have to search for that vital information.

That's probably because it waits for a long mouse down which will make it pop a blow up, aka Mouse Down Blow Up.

Unticking this will solve it: Configuration | Preview | Mouse Down Blow Up | Mouse Down on Thumbnails and Icons | On left mouse down

Don could Configuration > Mouse Down Blowup > "Allow dragging items by the thumbnail" - if checked - also affect this since XY will wait slightly longer to determine if the file wants to be dragged?

Correct! My previous post was wrong. It does not wait for the blow up but for the dragging.

But when you disable "Allow dragging items by the thumbnail" then you cannot select an item by the clicking the thumbnail at all (if MDBU is enabled). You have to click the caption.

Yes and that's fine with me. Having the option unchecked makes MDBU a bit quicker.
