Best image viewer with tons of features,it's xlideit --

1.Custom zoom percent

2.Option to save last used zoom and scroll position of each pic when navigating pics

3.Arrows at top right(to go next/previous for seeing pics) -- reduces hand movement

4.arrow keys scroll (to scroll pic with configurable percentage)

5.Show zoom level and name at top center of image

6.Loop pics

7.Customize tool bar

8.smooth zoom

and many ...

The first 4 features were told by me

Similar software tested are -- image glass, irfan view, xnview, fast stone image viewer, cpix, sal view, alternate pic view,no macs, leaf view, tacent view and xlideit has the max no of features than others.

XY should open an image, doing what?
XY is not an image editor...

Otherwise to open it with a specific app: Custom file associations...

u can preview image, so if xyplorer can do that, it can probably open an image directly without preview

ps : if admin said XYplorer can do it, when the OP asked for a image viewer...i mean there is probably something to do :)

I use xy for a quick peek and IrfanView when I need to see something in detail.

However, I've noticed xy fails to play animated .webp images and the newer .avif image format, both of which I've started using.

Might be some PC codec issue, but since I want to keep things portable I haven't looked into it. Therefore, I'm using IrfanView more for these days.

There should be an .avif codec somewhere on the web. Not sure about animated .webp, that's probably harder to find.

Nobody has mentioned FastStone a 100% free viewer with many adjustments only rivaled by Photoshop. IMHO
They have other quality products, for very modest fees, such as FastStone Capture.

I've been using Honeyview for a long time now. It's also very light and one feature it has that I didn't see immediately in Fastone Maxview is 'Zoom to Width', which I can't live withtout.

Also, for quick viewing images, just having XY in Thumbnail only (without any filenames or anything) works like a charm. With MDBU, esp with the addition of the 'Zoom to Width' option, it's pretty much a image viewer itself

I work with 500,000 images +
Always use XYPlorer for viewing, nothing else comes close, in my opinion.

Use "Duck Link Screen Capture" Free and easy

Use Fast Stone viewer ONLY for "Contact Sheet Builder"

Use "Picasa 3" for quick rotate and crop jobs (50 images +)
