:info: Please include the following information:
1) Your XYplorer Version (e.g., v28.00.0801)
2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).

:info: We strongly recommend adding your Windows Version and Screen Scaling Percentage to the Location field in your Profile or to your Signature. That way, you only have to type them once, and we won't have to search for that vital information.

Scrolling Find Files history

Post by kiwichick »

Not sure if this a bug or by design. It's not possible to scroll the previous find history using a mouse or touchpad if the cursor is over the history list or the vertical scroll bar. Scrolling with mouse or touchpad only works if the cursor is over the Name field or the dropdown arrow that pops up the history list.

Really? Works fine here. Is that the only place? There are many similar dropdowns.

Oh darn, that probably means there's something wrong at my end.

I'm not sure how many other places to check, and whether different 'types' of dropdown matter eg: The Name one in Find Files is different to the one in the Breadcrumb Bar.

I know it doesn't happen when I want to scroll a scrollable list in the Breadcrumb Bar. But, I just checked the Location history (below Name, and the same type of dropdown) and it has the same scrolling issue.

1) Which type (brand) of mouse are you using?

2) Is this a new issue?

It's just a generic brand but, as I said, I also have the same issue with the touchpad on my laptop.
2) Is this a new issue?
I couldn't say. I don't know if it's new or if I just hadn't really noticed it before. I don't need to use the Find Files history very often and I can't recall trying to scroll it.

I can't explain it. I think I would have heard if many others had this problem.

I think you would have, too, so it must be a problem at my end. I just tried a Microsoft mouse and a Logitech mouse, and the same issue occurs.
