spot pattern with middle truncation

Post by jupe »

I noticed that when the name column is truncated, and middle truncation is enabled, spot patterns don't work until the column is widened, whereas end truncation works even when truncated. I knocked up a repro script for fresh if it helps:

Code: Select all

  goto <xy>;
  goto ">><curname>";
  setcolumns("Name.100", 2);
  wait 3000;
  conf("middletruncation", "");
So if you choose to run the script, you'll see that after 3s delay, which is to demo it not working, MT is then disabled (it is on by default in fresh), and the spot pattern then starts working. I don't use MT in my normal config, only when testing in fresh etc, so if this is a hassle to fix, no worries.

You guessed it, it would be an absolute pain to fix (and slow down everything by some nano-seconds). Post-poned. :)
