Well, I just dumped XYplorer and switched to Xplorer2. At least Nikos knows that DRIVES are drives and nothing else.

In addition to that Xplorer2 is much faster in opening folders with a lot of files, doesn't need the same amount of RAM in maximized and minimized stated (actually XYplorer is the only file manager I know that has this behavior; a sign for amateurishly coded software), no annoying green flashing on the tab bar, and and and.

Thank you for adding MY COMPUTER. It made me finally switch to a better product.

See you back when you found out that other products aren't perfect either. If a MyComputer menu item is a problem for you, it will happen very fast.

And..
And as I recall, one can't see any drives on Win Expl unless one first accesses 'My Computer' (as someone may have written above) so having it above Drives isn't that unusual!
And...I don't worry about RAM usage in minimized as I run XY max'd 99+% of the time...old habits here...if that's true, it certainly isn't that much of an issue with today's typical GB RAM machines...
And...you're aware of the green flashing and only because you can't duplicate it, you're presently unable to debug it...I fully understand that!
And...I'd just like to see how quickly he gets any issues worked on by x2 folks! Don't think it'll ever match up to Don's turnaround time!

FYI, the internal Windows reference to MyComputer is CSIDL_DRIVES.

I'll admit that I'm definitely an XYfanboy, but if you've seen some of my other posts, I also use x2 lite as alternative on those occasions when XY won't do it, and have recommended it here to others also for similar issues...so...

I just found the reasons for switching so minor that it was like switching cars because the window controls were on the left instead of right, or similar.

well, i like it.
it's one item i can now remove from my catalog.
but i think the 'left click -> default, right click -> go to my comp' idea would be better.

just remember that when your new toy breaks, it won't get fixed as fast as ours (2-3 betas a week?)

You'll need only one of those buttons -- you'll see...

Fine...as long as no right-clicks are needed to access either My Computer or Drive choices...that makes it less usable for a touchpad'r.

@JC: Sorry for singling you out, but I sometimes use my laptop for several hours a day without mouse and can perfectly use both left and right click without problems. I think its unfair to overlook right clicks just because you dont like (have difficult time) using them, while other touchpaders (me included) might not have any problems with that. I would give equal preference to both mouse buttons while leaving one button philosophy to mac users.

Don't worry, I'm a big fan of the right mouse button (as can be witnessed in XY GUI).
