Thumbnails of some filetypes show in Windows Explorer but XYplorer

Works for me, using the same setup.

edit: Actually, you didn't mention installing the HEVC decoder from the MS Store in addition to the HEIF image extensions, that is also a requirement for heic, and could be why it works for me.

The HEVC decoder is not necessary for displaying .heic thumbnails in Explorer.
Explorer shows thumbnails for .heic without problems
and Total Commander using the Explorer method also display them.

And your definitely not just seeing cached thumbnails from when you had CopyTrans installed? Because my experience was completely different, I didn't get thumbnails for heic in Explorer or XY without the HEVC video extensions (maybe your CPU does HW decoding instead, mine is old CPU) in addition to HEIF Extensions, anyway somehow your setup must be different, so I'll stop with the bad suggestions.

I deleted all old thumbnails in all file managers for testing
after uninstalling CopyTransHEICforWindowsv.

So I checked within CLIP Studio to see if it's correctly associated (and it is)

Then I wondered if it's maybe my XY, so I downloaded some HEIC/HEIF samples to see if I could render them (and I can!)
