Minor cosmetic issue with USBDLM (ghost drive letter)

Post by Nuno »

Maybe this is not really a XYplorer bug, but nevertheless I'll try to describe what's happening, just in case it is easily fixed by some tweak.

When using USBDLM to name USB drives from E: upwards (skipping D:), I frequently, but not always, get this:
Clipboard-20230403.png
Clipboard-20230403.png (6.58 KiB) Viewed 481 times
A refresh promptly clears the problem.
It appears that USBDLM changes the newly inserted USB drive letter from D: to E: but XYplorer does not remove the now unused letter. I am still to notice this happening with Windows File Explorer, but that's to be expected: I am a XYplorer user, after all! ;)

Either send a refresh command via usblm or a CEA script (on drive added / remove)?
One of my scripts helped you out? Please donate via Paypal

Thanks for the idea!
Using a CEA script indeed seems a very simple and elegant solution and it appears to be working just fine.
