Please include the following information:
1) Your XYplorer Version (e.g., v28.00.0801)
2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).
We strongly recommend adding your Windows Version and Screen Scaling Percentage to the Location field in your Profile or to your Signature. That way, you only have to type them once, and we won't have to search for that vital information.
When attaching an Image, please use the Attachment tab at the bottom of your post and click "Add files".

That cache won't happen. XY does the work you tell it to do (heavy columns...), and Windows as well does the work you tell it to do (Defender...). Work takes time. Buy faster hardware.

A wrong assumption.
Defender has checked a file after its was stored onto the disk by its real time component
and there is no need to check it again when opened by a file manager.

It still does - and this also makes sense because of updates to the Anti Virus Database which come in at least every single day.
I understand that a cache is just a work around - the ideal and sensitive solution would be a separate task and asynchron updates to the displayed information. That would improve the XY experience at various places a lot and is a widely used method now.
"Buy faster hardware" does not solve the problem at all - since the hardware is not really the bottelneck. The AntiVir task only takes about 20% of my CPU performace and XY is waiting for it with 0.3% - and lock up.
