Problems with two searches running

Post by Ging2022 »

I have reported this issue before and still no resolution.

If i am running two separate searches (two instances of XYPlorer) there seems to be a problem with the images being displayed.

The thumbnails from one search appear in the secondary search.

I have found the way to correct it is to
click on View - Thumbnails #2
then
click on View - Thumbnails #1

This seems to correct it, but very annoying

If both instances share the same thumbnails cache, conflicts and race conditions can emerge. You can define the cache path here: Configuration | Preview | Thumbnails | Cache path

I'm afraid, at least where XY doc refers to 2nd / parallel instance(s), there should be some info about riscs on doing this.
(There are more, like using the same .ini etc.)

Problem is that people should know what they are doing...
