Debugging a corrupt .ini configuration file?

I use the Tab key to navigate between dual-panes, but for the last month I've been having an issue where the Tab key navigates between both the panes and live-filter box. The same behavior you would get it you held down Shift + Tab.

For example...
Pane 1 {Tab} Live-Filter Box {Tab} Pane 2 {Tab} Live Filter Box {Tab} Pane 1 {Tab} Live-Filter Box...

Oddly enough, holding down Shift + Tab will result in the normal behavior of only tabbing between panes

I have the default configuration to only navigate between both panes and I've checked the corresponding tweak in the .ini which reflects that...
TabKeyPanes=2

In order to stop the unexpected Tab behavior, I need to open the configuration dialogue and click OK (Not making any changes, just clicking OK). This will clear the issue for this instance, but any new instances will still be broken.

I downloaded a new install of XY and it's not an existing issue, but once I copied over my .ini configuration file the problem returned. Therefore I think I've narrowed it down to something wrong in my .ini.

Is there any other tweak I should check besides the one listed above or a way to get more details on what might be going on?

I can provoke this behavior even with a fresh instance

Downloaded and extracted, copied over to drive R:\

From a non-elevated command prompt:

"R:\xyplorer_23.70.0300_noinstall\XYplorer.exe" /script="::if (get('#800')) { #800; }"

The instance starts and because of the script switches to single pane mode

Shift+Tab x 2 = tree, address bar

It doesn't switch to the LFB anymore but directly between pane 1 and 2^^

Now a second test, again with the fresh instance (folder on R:\ deleted beforehand)

I switch the focus to the address bar by manually clicking into it
<tab> x 5 = LFB, pane 1, pane 2, pane 1, pane 2

It only hits the LFB once but not afterwards^^

But yes, something is wrong. I'll check...
