:info: Please include the following information:
1) Your XYplorer Version (e.g., v28.00.0801)
2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).

:info: We strongly recommend adding your Windows Version and Screen Scaling Percentage to the Location field in your Profile or to your Signature. That way, you only have to type them once, and we won't have to search for that vital information.

Multiple File Selection

Post by lenb@cheerful.com »

In Windows File Explorer (spit, spit), I select one file in a list, then I slide down and select another file while holding the Shift key. All the files between the first one I selected and the last one I select get selected. XYP doesn't seem to want to act that way. If I select file number 6 then file number 10 with the Shift key, I get file 1 to 10. Am I doing something wrong?

Merci

Works fine here (multiple selection is done on names, not on checkboxes)

Make a copy of your XYplorer.ini file, remove the license information, zip it and attach it to your next post

All I find in the XYPlorer folder is Startup.ini. It has next to nothing in it.

In the XY instance with your XYplorer.ini I've checked
Menu - Tools - Customize List - [x] Checkbox Selection

and unchecked
Menu - Tools - Configuration | General | Menus, Mouse, Usability | Mouse | Single-click to open an item

and got this:
