Branch view creates thumbs even though they are already cached

Hi.

Not sure if this is a bug or not, but when I select some folders for branch view, the program goes through the laborious task of creating thumbs, in branch view, even though I have already gone through those folders earlier, and cached to disk all the created thumbnails.
Shouldn't it just pick up the cached thumbnails in the folders and display them near instantly, in branch view?
Edit: Also found another bug. If I check in "Default Branch View Type" : Files only, folders still show. If I check Folders only, that works, showing only folders.

1. That's the way it currently works. A Branch View does not access any existing caches of the contained folders.

Thanks. By unticking some of the options about folders, it seems to work now.

Really would like to see branch view be able to access the cached thumbnails, as thumb caching is what I REALLY use your program for.

Would it be possible to do that?

I have pics and books saved by author and such in many folders. Some hold only one or two so I end up with thousands of folders. Branch view lets me see a selection all at once, but without cached thumbnails available, it takes for ever to show them all.

Would really LOVE to see branch view be able to use cached thumbnails. It would be a major addition to xyplorer IMO.

Tick Configuration | Preview | Thumbnails | Include search results and you should be good. A cache for each branch you are viewing will be created. It's separate from the normal folder caches, but it will do what you want.
