:info: Please include the following information:
1) Your XYplorer Version (e.g., v28.00.0801)
2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).

:info: We strongly recommend adding your Windows Version and Screen Scaling Percentage to the Location field in your Profile or to your Signature. That way, you only have to type them once, and we won't have to search for that vital information.

"File Version" column not working/populating

Post by Rod »

Using 23.20.0100

I would like the file version to display, but when I add the column, I only end up with blank values for all files. Perhaps a bug?

Right click the column header, and select the Special Property column "Version" instead, alternatively if you are determined to use a shell property the one you need to use is actually named "Product Version".

Oh, thanks for the info. That works, although not really intuitive

The "Product version" column sometimes displays the correct version number, and other times displays it with a GUID appended on it.

I'll use the "Version" option for now.

Thanks for the fast response!

@Don: Are you purposely making "File version" return nothing?, because for example it works in InfoTips but not in the list using the same id#.

Good find! Will work in next beta. (As usual MS moved some indices from Win8 to Win10 and this one escaped my vigilance.)
