:info: Please include the following information:
1) Your XYplorer Version (e.g., v28.00.0801)
2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).

:info: We strongly recommend adding your Windows Version and Screen Scaling Percentage to the Location field in your Profile or to your Signature. That way, you only have to type them once, and we won't have to search for that vital information.

XYplorer hang frequently when right-click on folder

This does not happen in the past (at least I haven't encountered this before) and now (using 23.00.0200), this happens frequently.

from what I have tested, if I right click on a file first, the context menu is displayed properly. And then right-click on a folder has no problem (i.e. the context menu can be displayed too).

But if the first right-click since XYplorer is started is done on a folder, then it hangs

The reason is normaly some context menu handler.
Use the Nirsoft tool ShellExView and disable all non-Microsoft context menu extensions first.
If all is fine start to enable the rest one by one and test.

First do this and then try it again:

Code: Select all

Configuration | General | Menus, Mouse, Usability | Context Menus | [x] Hide shell extensions from shell context menu

I tried this and the problem is not there. So, sounds like it is a problem on a/some specific sell extensions
