2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).

Log on drag&drop backup

Post by PeterH »

As I understand helpfile, for Backup by drag&drop, I should be able to not create a logfile?
Only chance seems to be to by selecting Cancel on "Save Backup Log As"-dialog? But then the whole process is cancelled.

(I'm trying to mis-use BackupHere as a copy "with original date/time", i.e. "duplicate", and don't need a log for this.)

Is function wrong, help wrong, or am I wrong?

It's hidden in config/report... :)

Hey - I didn't think of that... :?

Problem: I wouldn't change it there, as global value, because I think it's very useful for real backup! While if replacing a kind of copy-operation it's not neccessary. So would it be able to make it dynamic selectable in the dialog asking for the location of the log?
(Else there should be a hint in help, pointing to config/report/Backup operations.)

It was like that for some years, until people here in the forum agreed that cancelling the file dialog should cancel the whole thing. Shit happens...
