CEA "Left-click on line number" delay
"Sticky Selection" and "Clicked item context menu" actions are instantaneous whereas
"Like white", "Selected Item(s) context menu" and "Run script" have delay which I believe to be a bug.

Re: CEA "Left-click on line number" delay
It waits for a possible dbl-click.

Re: CEA "Left-click on line number" delay
That was my hypothesis, but why does it wait in one case and doesn't wait in the other one?
PS. It definitely shouldn't wait if "Double-click on line number" is "None".

Re: CEA "Left-click on line number" delay
Yeah, I agree. I now think it should never wait. The user should know that on a dbl-click a single-click is processed first. The same happens in many places in the app.

Re: CEA "Left-click on line number" delay
Then it means if I have Sticky Selection on left click, I should revert the effect in the double-click event as if nothing happened.
How is it possible to invert the selection on a specified item by scripting?

Re: CEA "Left-click on line number" delay
I would call it unexpected
That doesn't happen in any software I use.
When I make a double click only actions assigned to a double click should fire.

Re: CEA "Left-click on line number" delay
If in File Explorer you double-click an unselected item, on the 1st click it gets selected, on the 2nd click it gets opened.

Yes, but there is nothing done automatically with this selection.

Which other software has CEA? Do you see a better solution?

Re: CEA "Left-click on line number" delay
No other software has this, its a big plus of XY.
XY should wait the configured time for an double click before firing any action for a single click.

Re: CEA "Left-click on line number" delay
But only if any action is assigned to a double click. If None is assigned as an action for a double click, there is no point of waiting and it will ruin my single click action again...

Re: CEA "Left-click on line number" delay
While I'm not really into these CEA things, please don't forget the standard single and dbl-click actions, which have been there long before CEA was created.

Re: CEA "Left-click on line number" delay
Both solutions have pros and cons, the current one, for instance, allows to get both single click and double click actions w/o any delay (by undoing on double-click what was done on single click and then performing the double-click action).
