1) Your XYplorer Version (e.g., v28.00.0801)
2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).

:info: We strongly recommend adding your Windows Version and Screen Scaling Percentage to the Location field in your Profile or to your Signature. That way, you only have to type them once, and we won't have to search for that vital information.

Duplicate files after renaming a copy

Post by AAsc49 »

Hello,

Since few days, I always have duplicated files when copying then renaming.

For example :
1) I copy myfile.docx, a file is created named "myfile - copy.docx"

2) Then, If I rename this copy to "myfile2.docx", and open it...
when closing, I find two files named "myfile - copy.docx" and "myfile2.docx".

My files are in a Sharepoint library, synchronized.

The problem doesn't occur when using Windows File Explorer. My default file explorer is XYplorer.

Thank you,

Arnaud A.

When you say "I copy" which commands exactly are you using?

Hello,

With Right Clic Copy/Paste in XYplorer.

(excuse me to be so late, I don't receive notification for replies... )

Sounds weird. The problem seems to be in the renaming rather than in the copying. But of course I cannot replicate it here. Could Sharepoint be a factor?

Hello,

Yes, Sharepoint could be a factor but the problem only occurs in XYplorer.

For me, it's reproductible on my computer (:-/) , I'll try on another one ... and come back to you.

Thank's

Arnaud
