2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).

Tools Panel Hidden

Post by Howitzer99 »

Somehow the Tools->Configuration panel will no longer appear. If I chose either the Menu or the F9 shortcut, the panel does not appear. I can see that the border of xyplorer does lose focus (color appear dimmer), but the panel is no where to be found. If I hit Esc, then the main window pulls focus again.

Hitting Shift+F9 pops up a Customize Keyboard Shortcuts window.

Please let me know if there is any way to reset the position of this pop-up Configuration window to it's default.

Looks like my XYplorer.ini already has these values set:

[Settings]
LastTab=0
LastFileTypes=0
ConfigLeft=0
ConfigTop=0

If I ran a "fresh" version, F9 pops-up the settings window as expected. But in the regular one, it's still opening somewhere outside either of my 2 monitors.

For kicks, I moved xyplorer to my 2nd monitors, and F9 actually pops-up the config. Moving back to the 1st monitor, the same bug results: no pop-up.

So, I found a fix for this by:
Move xyplorer to my 2nd monitor.
F9 to open settings pop-up.
Move the setting window to the 1st monitor and close the window.
Move xyplorer back to the 1st monitor.
F9 now pop-up the settings window as expected.

I am using the latest 22.60 version.

In the configuration where F9 pops in Nirvana, run this through the address bar and post the results:

Code: Select all

screen;

By reversing the steps above, I can recreate the bug, where the Settings pop-up will not display when it was last closed on a 2nd monitor.

Here are the logs from both iterations:

Thanks! Hard to see why it would not work.

Beta version v22.60.0004 writes something to the debug log. To show it do dlog; after you popped it to Nirvana.
