:info: Please include the following information:
1) Your XYplorer Version (e.g., v28.00.0801)
2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).

:info: We strongly recommend adding your Windows Version and Screen Scaling Percentage to the Location field in your Profile or to your Signature. That way, you only have to type them once, and we won't have to search for that vital information.

Free Space calculation in XYcopy for junction-targets

Post by fishgod »

In my Setup, I have a folder C:\STUFF with multiple junctions pointing to different drives (a somehow poor-mans MergerFS-solution)
Lets say:
C:\STUFF -> actual folder on Drive0
C:\STUFF\Junction1 -> pointing to a folder on Drive1
C:\STUFF\Junction2 -> pointing to a folder on Drive2

when copying something into C:\STUFF\Junction1, the free Space for Drive0 is shown in XYcopy
when copying something into C:\STUFF\Junction1\Subfolder then the correct free space for Drive1 is shown in XYcopy.

This also applies to the warning that the destination does not have sufficient space left for the data to copy.

Interestingly when just navigating to C:\STUFF\Junction1 the free space shown in the Statusbar is the correct value from Drive1 instead of Drive0
Operating System: Win10 x64 / Win11 x64 / almost allways newest XY-beta
totally XYscripting-addicted

You're absolutely right! :tup: I wonder why that was never noticed. Fix coming.

Well, it was mentioned here: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=21427
... but since the OP never came back, it kind of died.
