After the system was changed from Windows 7 to windows 10, I encountered exactly the same problem.
Even if third-party software is used to regularly detect and delete EnableOverlays.
The registry value of EnableOverlays will still be generated again after switching 2-3 previews of different files.
Once EnableOverlays are generated, xyplorer must be restarted.

Please include the following information:
1) Your XYplorer Version (e.g., v28.00.0801)
2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).
We recommend adding your Windows Version and Screen Scaling Percentage to the Location field in your Profile or to your Signature. That way, you only have to type them once.
When attaching an Image, please use the Attachment tab at the bottom of your post and click "Add files".

Checked it on Win8.1 and Win10. No such key appears in the registry. All works fine.

What video card did you check with and what version of the video driver?
Windows 10-x64, GTX10xx, Video driver newer than 391.35.
Windows 11 25H2, 100%
