Version 22 reported as Ransomware by Malwarebytes

Post by Stephen Yeo »

Installed Version 22 this morning.

After a couple of hours Malwarebytes flagged it as ransomware and quarantined (removed) it.

Details not plentiful, but screenshot of dialogue box attached.

fwiw, Malwarebytes seems to have quarantined the Taskbar link to XYplorer, and quanatined the programme itself.

XYplorer is clean, see the results of Virus Total.
So make an exeption in Malwarebytes and complain on their board about the false positiv.

Thanks very much for the swift response. Will do.

I wasn't too worried, since it seems as if this has happened several times in the past.

But I thought it worth reporting, just in ase.
