File info tips

Hi,

I've just installed 20.80.0100 over 20.80 on my W7 and I notice that File info tips have changed...

I noticed for some type of file or folder the information given is Name, TYpe, Size, Modified, Created, Accessed and Attr. it's pretty strange when hovering a text file or an executable...
Before I had for executables : Name, Description du fichier, Entreprise, Version du fichier, Date de création, Taile... As you can see the informations were localized.

Zip files, picture files and some more still seem to display correctly.

Unless a default value was changed somewhere in the settings...

While I was trying to understand, I realized the info tips for executables don't display the same informations in network shares as on local drives, even when the option is set. I believe this behavior has been there a very long time, I just never really took notice before.

file info tips: Now when this setting is OFF (which is also the factory
default) a native version of the default tips is shown for files and
folders, not the shell's default tips anymore. The native tips are better,
faster, and safer (once again I suspect the presence of Adobe to cause
crashes when popping the shell's file info tips on PDF files on some
systems).
Another advantage: The default File Info Tips are now in XYplorer's
selected interface language, not in the system's language.

Thank you for you answer... it was indeed a change in default behavior.
My setting was OFF and has always been. I'm running the basic XY version (no language file so... English).
When I turn the setting ON, I only get the tips I tick and they are in my system language.

Maybe it's my English but I'm not sure it's what you're telling me : I understand that OFF should be better, but the informations I get are not relevant. Could you try to explain again?

In the next beta it will be optional. You can have it as it was before the change.

It wasn't changed without notice.
Every beta had a description of this changes.
