Name: Michael J Sutton (Registered User)
I recently attempted to insert my registration key and replacing my previous version with Ver 21.70.0100 | 26-Apr-2021. I have attached numerous error messages I received when trying to exit the newly downloaded and installed application.
Suggestions?

Please include the following information:
1) Your XYplorer Version (e.g., v28.00.0801)
2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).
We strongly recommend adding your Windows Version and Screen Scaling Percentage to the Location field in your Profile or to your Signature. That way, you only have to type them once, and we won't have to search for that vital information.
When attaching an Image, please use the Attachment tab at the bottom of your post and click "Add files".

You've somehow put XYplorer's application data folder under it's application folder in C:\Program Files (x86)\XYplorer\, which isn't writeable for non-elevated users. My recommendation would be to uninstall XYplorer, completely delete C:\Program Files (x86)\XYplorer\ and all its contents, and then reinstall. The install program will enable the default application data folder in your user profile, which is writeable.
Should you want to move the application data folder (to a writeable location), you can modify Startup.ini in XYplorer's application folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\XYplorer\) by modifying the Path-key in the AppData-section.
Edited: paths edited.

This is what Startup.ini looks like by default:
Contents as text:
Code: Select all
[Appdata]
Path=%appdata%\XYplorerTo see the attached files, you need to log into the forum.
