How do I get ride of the preview/properties/version winow?

Post by angelique »

I was searching for a file and the window that stretches across the bottom of the screen came up with my answer. Unfortunately, now I can't remember how to get rid of it. I can't search the "help" file because it's not compatable with Vista. How do I make it go away and reclaim my screen?

Ok, first let's get your Help file usable...see http://www.xyplorer.com/xyfc/viewtopic.php?t=1056 and look at page 2...this is also stated in a similar form at http://www.xyplorer.com/faq.htm where it's the 4th topic up from bottom...

But I'm a bit confused by the basic question, given that you've used XY for quite a while...we all know that the Info Panel is a core part of XY operation, and is toggled via F12 (or toolbar icon for same)...or are you asking about something else? :?

And the wiki is a great alternative to the Help file also, for topics such as http://88.191.26.34/XYwiki/index.php/Panel...

Update: How is this different from your question from Nov 2007 at http://www.xyplorer.com/xyfc/viewtopic.php?t=1970 ? It seems quite similar...
Still spending WAY TOO much time here! But it's such a pleasure helping XY be a treasure!
(XP on laptop with touchpad and thus NO mouse!) Using latest beta vers when possible.

It is called Info Panel and is toggled by F12.

Tip: All visibility and size of interface elements is controlled in menu Window.
