I've got a request that I think many would find to be highly useful in the areas of audio and video files.
We can search by size of file in terms of kb and mb now,
but this would be fantastic:
To be able to search by media length.
For example, I right click on a .wav file now and click properties/details/media length 34.603 sec.
Now what if I want to find all .wav files on my hard drive that are say between 5 seconds and 10 seconds long?
Filesize will not help here, because, depending on compression format, bitrate, and samplerate, a smaller filesize may actually be much longer in duration than a much larger filesize.
I think people searching for media of certain specific lengths would highly enjoy this kind of search by media length capability.
Is there any possibility of this capability at some point wth TrackerV3 perhaps?
Thank you very much for considering this option,
Frew

Too special, Frew, though the idea is not bad. Maybe later...
Okay,
Thank you for considering the idea for perhaps later on.
Thanks again for your wonderful search tool.
I love being able to save configuration files by the way.
These configuration files work great...although at moment when I save configuration file, a message to indicate that one may be overwritten because the same name config file exists, and do I want to allow this, would be helpful so as to not lose a prior important configuration file by having it accidentally overwritten with a new saved one of the same name.
And tabs I'm getting used to, but they seem to change on me sometimes, so I have to work with them more.
Also, I know I already mentioned this, but I would very much love to be able to not have autocomplete...it really interupts my workflow, because often I type and hit enter or F3 without looking up to see what I've typed, and I've launched a search that I did not intend because the autocomplete filled in something I did not want.
Thank you very much,
Frew

You can turn it off in Configuration/General/Auto-complete Name and Location field.frew wrote:Also, I know I already mentioned this, but I would very much love to be able to not have autocomplete...it really interupts my workflow, because often I type and hit enter or F3 without looking up to see what I've typed, and I've launched a search that I did not intend because the autocomplete filled in something I did not want.
