Preview Pane doesnt show solidworks files

Explorer works correctly with SWX 2015 .. and all older and newer versions
XY works perfectly with SWX 206 installed (and later I think), otherwise it does not show icons, previews and thumbnails (all the icons are white, it is impossible to distinguish the files)

So, now with 64-bit Preview, is anybody having success with previewing solidworks files?

It doesn't work. At least not with 2020 SP4. It uses a different system (no normal preview handler, tested via ShellExView) but Windows Explorer can make use of <whatever it is>...

I currently believe it uses the ThumbnailProvider. Can you confirm that the solidworks thumbnails look just like the preview in File Explorer?

entries, no preview nor thumbnail ones.

Windows Explorer can handle thumbnails + previews, though:

Oh, I meant in Windows Explorer. It looks like the "preview" is just identical to the biggest thumbnail. True?

OK, going to work: Write a 64-bit thumbnail extractor in C#. We need that anyway...

Here is a test exe. Open the menu and then "Open Thumbnail...". Does it show a solidworks thumb?
