multi tab set up

Post by graham »

As far as I can see this is not available.

I would like to select a number of items (or category) in the catalog and for these to set up appropriate tabs. This could be very useful for repeatable tasks where a group of tabs are needed and could be set up in one click.

No, not that I know of, but you could use different ini-Files with the tabs set as you need 'em for the current task.

I had a similar wish long time ago. For convenience sake i named it Tab groups. I still believe this is a very useful for working on small projects where you want set of similar tabs.

I still like the idea of being able to set up multi tabs to pre-determined locations and seeing that the catalog is possibly not ideal how about having a UDC.

Use existing UDC layouts
Called Set tab locations (max 6?)
It would require the locations to be listed separated by ;
Action would be to close all existing tabs and set the new ones

This enables scenarios to be established for common user tasks

I asked for something similar to this a while back, although perhaps not as flexible... I asked for the ability to have a different catalogue, KS and ini file depending on the computer you were on, or depending on which "use" your picked at startup (or via a command line switch).

Given the portable nature of XY I still believe that this would a be a valuable feature (and a good thing to differentiate from the FREE version ;)).
Used to update to the latest beta every day. Now I have children instead…
