Include subfolders, Follow folder links not saved

Post by ozzbot »

I normally check "Include subfolders" and "Follow folder links" in the "Find Files" tab. But they no longer remained checked between sessions. I am using 4.00.0086 with three Browsing Tabs created.

When testing this, open Tracker, do a find, then close Tracker. Then re-open Tracker. You will notice they are not checked any more.

I tested the next beta (4.00.0089) and it still does not work. Also, they don't save when you do a find, move to another tab and then go back to the finding tab.

Sorry, but I cannot reproduce this.

Me neither.
All the Find Files settings are saved between sessions and on exit and restart as well with 4.00.0089.

It does not work the first time or two you open Tracker after booting up the PC. My guess is that it does not work when Tracker loads from the hard disk, but does work when Tracker loads from the CPU's cache memory.

This sounds weird -- there's nothing in the code that would lead to such behavior. Either your PC has a problem, or there's some misunderstanding. Just to make it clear: Finding tabs always remember their Find Files settings, but Browsing inherit the settings from the previous tab or remember them from the previous session.
