auto-refresh not working

Post by dude373 »

"Auto-refresh" is no longer working when viewing This PC (top directory) and adding a hard drive. (V20 to 20.20.0200) Drive is viewable in in other file explorers.
"Suspend auto-refresh" is always checked when in the top directory and can't be disabled.

"Suspend auto-refresh" is unchecked when viewing sub directories and does not refresh. Have to leave the dir and return to show refresh.
How to fix?

Try enabling this:

Configuration | General | Refresh, Icons, History | Auto-Refresh | Detect portable devices

Auto-Refresh has always been auto suspended in "This PC" location, that is normal. Your second issue might be because this is disabled:

Configuration | General | Refresh, Icons, History | Auto-Refresh | Include removable drives
