:info: Please include the following information:
1) Your XYplorer Version (e.g., v28.00.0801)
2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).

:info: We strongly recommend adding your Windows Version and Screen Scaling Percentage to the Location field in your Profile or to your Signature. That way, you only have to type them once, and we won't have to search for that vital information.

Wrong hover icon when using drag and drop in Vista

Post by jjo5555 »

When dragging a file from the desktop or from a windows explorer window into XYplorer the hover icon is a "create shortcut here" icon rather than the copy or move (+) or (-) icon one should see.

The file copy/move operation behaves as expected it is just the icon that is wrong.

copy/move within XYplorer gives the icons one expects.

I know. Never could work it out. If you look closely, it is not exactly the create shortcut icon but it has an additional dotted rectangle... whatever it means...

I know why.
Vista is somehow seeing XYplorer as a "list" (a virtual folder)
e.g. C:\Users\<user>\Links in Windows Exlorer is a "list".
This is is a new type of file listing bought in in Vista.

But it's the same wrong icon under XP.
