1) Your XYplorer Version (e.g., v28.00.0801)
2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).

:info: We strongly recommend adding your Windows Version and Screen Scaling Percentage to the Location field in your Profile or to your Signature. That way, you only have to type them once, and we won't have to search for that vital information.

"End" and "Home" do not scroll list unde

Post by Gandolf »

I am saving files to a directory from a text editor and the list of files becomes long enough to require a vertical scroll bar. Pressing "End" moves to the last file in the list but does not scroll the file into view. Hitting "Home" or "Up arrow then "End" and the list scrolls to the last file. It appears that "End" moves focus to the last file in the list but does not cause the list to scroll the file into view.

Adding more files, with focus on the last file, hitting "End" again and the list still does not scroll.

"Keep focused item in view after sorting" and "Auto refresh on system changes" are both ON.

This particular sequence is something I haven't used for some months, but I don't seem to remember having this problem before.

Also, which is probably the real problem, if focus in on the last file in the list and the list is then scrolled so the file is no longer visible, hitting "End" does not scroll the list. Same applies to the top of the list and hitting "Home".

Wow, what a basic bug! And quite old AFAIK. Should be fixed next version.

Thanks!

Thanks Don.
I couldn't believe what was happening and thought it must have been something I was doing since I'd just re-written some AHK scripts and thought it might have been something in them.

I did not check but I could well be that this bug was in forever (= since 1998)! :)
