:info: Please include the following information:
1) Your XYplorer Version (e.g., v28.00.0801)
2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).

:info: We strongly recommend adding your Windows Version and Screen Scaling Percentage to the Location field in your Profile or to your Signature. That way, you only have to type them once, and we won't have to search for that vital information.

User commands not loaded with configuration change.

Post by Gandolf »

Create user commands in a configuration.
Load another configuration.
User commands are not there.
Load the original configuration and the commands are there. (I did have a situation where they were not there and I expect that was because the lines "UDCCategoryLast=, UDCCommandLast= & UDCCommandTopLast=" were not present or updated in the ini file.)
Close XY with that configuration and re-open, commands are there.
Load another configuration and the commands are also there.

or Save configuration then load a new configuration and the commands are there.

It would appear that the User commands are saved but are not loaded with the new configuration. Checking udc.dat with another file manager confirms this.

The same should be true for ks.dat and servers.dat. Right?

Probably, haven't tested, but I just want to say that it does seem like an odd/unexpected behavior. Especially because, if I got it right, it means one creates UDC/KS, load a new config, they're gone.
Yet, after closing (save on exit) & restarting they now "appear"!

BTW if one has "save on exit" and loads a new config, shouldn't it be saved? I mean, in a way we "exit" the current config, so maybe we expect the settings to be saved ?
I don't really use & switch between configs, but that would seem logical/expected to me I think...
