Also, I know this is probably already stretching a bit towards scripting, maybe, but I just have to say it anyways
- I love the menu interface for a few reasons, one of them being that it allows to assign one KS to popup a menu with a list a commands. For instance, I can have a list an application to open with that shows up, I actually already did that & think it's pretty cool!
- Now, What I'd love is the ability to create "custom menus", where I could put together commands from different categories(/commands), eg. I could have both Rename, Copy and Open With commands listed under the same menu.
So one key would trigger that menu to popup, because sometimes one "task" I have to do might have a bunch of commands linked to it, but not necessary the same kind of commands.
- And then, for the "almost scripting" part, imagine we could have on such menus, below all items/commands we put there, after a separator something like "Trigger All Commands", that would trigger all the commands sequentially, in the order we put them. That way, I could define a bunch of commands and need only one key to have them all to be applied.
It's not scripting per-se (as in, no variables, ifs, loops, etc) but already pretty fantastic for sure. I could have a bunch of different renames, followed by some To Clipboard commands, all triggered by one single KS!! Really, I don't need scripting then!
