Live Filter on The fly?

you know you have to click the live filter box and type to search/filter to what you want, is there a way we can make it just active on the fly without having to click that search box? you know how you can type and it will highlight the letter on the folders/files that match, I wonder if can have it like that but with the live filter?

Em, Configuration | Find and Filter | Filters & Type Ahead Find | Type Ahead Find | Redirect typing to Live Filter Box?
