1) Your XYplorer Version (e.g., v28.00.0801)
2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).

:info: We strongly recommend adding your Windows Version and Screen Scaling Percentage to the Location field in your Profile or to your Signature. That way, you only have to type them once, and we won't have to search for that vital information.

UDC.dat file

Post by graham »

Two problems:

This is a minor thing but seems related to the more serious error one
I have XYP with config set to min to tray and on X close to tray. On starting XY it starts in the tray but also in the task bar. This did not happen previously.

This is more serious
After setting 4 new UDC and CSK's which all work as expected but when XY was closed and the UDC.dat file written to file. Next time I did a new clean start of XY (no prior XY in tray or task bar) from the Start/Prog list then I got an error window

Error 91 (0000005B)
Desc Object variable or With block variable not set
Dll 0
Proc ViewFirst

Source XYplorer
Version 6.40.0010
OS WinXP (Service Pack 2)
Date 21/10/2007 01:59:23

This seemed to persist until I renamed file UDC.dat to UDC.dax and the program loaded as expected.

Note, the first error above also disappeared and XY only appeared in the tray and not on the task bar as well.

Do you still have that udc.dat file? If yes, please send it to me and your XYplorer.ini as well. (Else only your XYplorer.ini). Thanks!

I could not reproduce this nor do I see any possible connection to UDC.

But I could fix error 91. This above phenomenon might vanish with it...
