Change Live Filter box position
Hello! New user here and so far I'm enjoying XY!
In Windows File Explorer I use the Search box quite a bit. In XY the "Live Filter" box is doing the same job for me. My hangup with it is that the File Explorer Search box is nestled neatly to the right of the address bar where as, in XY, the Live Filter is down on the bottom buried in the status bar. It may seem like a little thing, but after years of File Explorer use, my brain just automatically jumps to that top right position in the window for search/filter activity. In my mind it also makes logical sense to have a search/filter box next to the address bar displaying the current folder that you want to perform the action on. As a new user, seeing the Live Filter box in the status bar (below the first column of vertical tabs) is somewhat confusing too as it makes it appear related to just that column of tabs.
So I'm wondering did I miss an option somewhere to change the position of the Live Filter box? XY is so configurable I may have missed it.
Otherwise I'd love to see an option to have the Live Filter box to the right of the address bar. This would make the status bar less crowded and also make better use of "white space" as the right hand part of the address bar is often empty (except for very long folder paths).
Can I get use to the way it's setup today? Yes! But I think this slight tweak would make XY just a little more intuitive to all of us new folks using it!
Thanks for considering this!

Re: Change Live Filter box position
Thinking about it that position at the Address Bar might be misleading: In File Explorer this is a search box (searching the whole system for about anything), but the Live Filter Box is just checking for matching name patterns in the current list...

Re: Change Live Filter box position
You're correct the Search box is not directly analogous to Live Filter box. For what I was trying to do they were pretty close. Live Filter is a little closer to what I want to do anyway (filter the results in the active tab). The Search box was just the "best" way I had found to do that in File Explorer. Live Filter is handier especially if it could be moved next to the address bar!

+1
right of Address Bar or Breadcrumb Bar would be good.
while we're here, is there a shortcut for clearing Live Filter no matter where the focus is? if not, that would be useful.

Nice, but when toolbar and AB are side by side the LFB is off by 1 px

I think a button [x] (right part) is also very useful to clean the search field, plus add fast search categories, vector files, office files, images file etc.
